The obsession with antique utensils continue… Managed to get hold of my GrandMa’s every-day-use – Paruppu Sombu. In the days of fire-wood stove, Paruppu Sombu was the utensil which was used to cook the dal (paruppu). It could withstand heat for a longer period of time.
In today’s world, it can be used as a good decor -piece . It adds a certain vintage look to a corner.
